Yesterday T and I went to the Market Days in Gruene, south of Austin and pronounced as ‘Green”. The weather was mild and the market was colorful.
After seeing the market, we walked around Gruene a bit. With the nice weather, the motorcyclists were out in style.
The town has a rustic quality that they play up everywhere.
Just a very relaxing day in the Hill Country.
German or Swiss originally?
Quaint town, looks a lot like over here, all very cute!

German, I think. A lot of Germans emigrated to Texas in the 1800s. They were known for being very adamantly against slavery.

The second to last photo looks like you threw in an Alpine house shot! I guess that’s the German influence on the town. Lovely photos.

Yes, I didn’t like it, but I felt obligated to take the picture, because it is part of the Hill Country, this cutesy German stuff here and there.
